Outstanding book

This is the second book I have gotten from this author and our little one just loves it. First you see the whimsically drawn beach, and then you turn the pages and fall in love with sweet Zozo as she gets scared of the storm. Wonderful story and beautiful illustrations. Our little one likes to go through this book over and over again.

Incredibly interesting

I loved that this is based on a real place. The pages are colorful and well designed. I gave it as a gift and included a stuff bunny.

Constantly read again and again

A lovely, sweet, well written story that we literally never tire of. Our family owns nearly 200 children’s books, so we do a whole lot of reading in this house. And we still, time and again, come back to Zozo. Never a month passes without reading a Zozo story, rarely a week. We love this new book so much that I'm back today to order a copy for a friend's granddaughter. Storm is wonderful and it goes nicely with Reef and River Cave.

Beautiful story full of wonder and nature

Great story, especially if you’re a Floridian!

I’d never heard of the Sargasso Sea, but really thought the book was a clever idea, especially with the additional information in the front of the book. The graphics were colorful & the story is engaging but simple enough for a preschooler. Very well done!

I bought this to read to first graders at school during the hurricane season. It’s a great story, but even more impactful because we live in a coastal community. This is a story of adventure, friendship and fun, but it’s very real how hurricanes sweep through our area. It’s good to remind kids about the benefits of nature amid the destruction. Supports the theme of caring and friendship. Well written. Wonderful illustrations. The kids loved it!

A beautiful book all around

This book is perfect for children. The text is well written, the message is heartwarming, and the illustrations are beautiful! Since it is based in a real location, I was able to increase my grandchildren’s knowledge by doing some extensions on animal rescue facilities. Highly recommend!

Perfect introduction to our watery world for a kindergartener

My 5 year old absolutely loves this book. He has been interested in water-related books for awhile but many of them are still too hard with too much going on. I find this book has the perfect balance and love the art style. Definitely a great find!

My son cannot get enough of these books - and the Storm one has been on repeat since I purchased it in the summer . Each time you read the book, you can see something you missed before - which means the book never gets boring and is so interactive for my four year old. Please make more!

BEST BOOKS FOR KIDS

My children are deeply obsessed with these books. As parents you know any well written book is great for kids; but these by this author are our favorite. The vibrant colors, the cute stories and about really interesting places. My kids are always asking questions about what we are reading about. We have four of these books and I will keep buying until I get them all.

Super fun book

We get our grandsons a book for each month, helps them read while recognizing something each month and this series is a favorite. When we call we talk about the places in the book, many of which my husband and I have seen, like Iceland, Norway, Japan, and now Santorini. Our grandsons are very talkative, telling us what they learn from Zozo about volcanos. The author has a way to make a fun story engaging and interactive for the kids while making the real places relatable. Highly recommend!

The Perfect Gift

I gifted my granddaughter with this book for her fifth birthday, and she was delighted! My granddaughter loves nature and animals, and she proudly shows me all the adorable animals in the background progressing from page to page doing funny things. Of course, she adores Zozo and has read many Zozo books since her father taught her to read.

Quality storytelling AND very informative

- reviewed by verified purchaser

This great story was very informative! It is such a great tool for educators and parents to use to spark curiosity and teach young learners about our amazing world. I love the page at the beginning that tells about the biggest eruption in history. Wonderfully written, beautifully illustrated and a non-scary way that young children can begin to understand volcanos.

Part of a great series!

Seriously. I can’t get over how thoughtfully created each of these Zozo stories are, and the places she goes are so cool. I hate when a travel book for kids is a bland highlights of see this, see that. Not here! This is a rich story of cute characters that keep readers wanting to know more.

Delightful, fun and a great message

We just got Travels with Zozo…and the Pintxos today and the unanimous declaration is that it's awesome! This is from my six year old son, to my wife and myself. Great work, good story, and really nice illustrations. I love the careful way that foods are presented as part of a fun environment. They are not simply about whether it tastes good or bad.

Attention Keeping For Little One!

- reviewed by verified purchaser

My 5 year old grandson can't sit still long enough to have stories read to him but this book has action everywhere and great pictures. He sat long enough to get through the entire book! And asked me read another Travels with Zozo book to him. I recently ordered 2 more. Highly praise from a reluctant reader.

Quality story and beautifully detailed artwork

The text and artwork both are cute and make this a book that can be reread. The text makes it great as read aloud. The detailed artwork really got me though. There is lots going on! I have to say that the ending surprised me with a very simple but clever joke that tied the whole story together nicely. I got this book as a present but plan to go buy more Zozo travel stories. I'm intrigued to see what the others in the series are like.

I absolutely LOVE this book. The illustrations are fantastic. This book lends itself to reading in voices if you are so inclined this way. I'm a teacher and this book has all my kids loving it. Lots to discuss makes this a valuable read aloud. A valuable book to any classroom teacher's read aloud library.

Great books

I buy these books for my 6 year old son. They are great and we collect them now. Loads of interesting cultural facts but set out in a fun way. He likes the pictures and the way the story is fun. Quite expensive for what they are, but Amazon always has a sale on one of them, and they are worth every cent!

Recent favorite in the bedtime routine

Let me start by saying our bookshelves are overflowing with picture books! I am certifiably a children's book addict. I'm happy to say that this one has not made it to the shelf yet because my kids keep requesting me to read it- yes every night! I'm also happy to say that I am not tired of it yet. My daughter has a birthday party today and she picked this book to give as a present which thrilled me! There is truly nothing better than giving or getting books as birthday or holiday gifts!

Joking around is the BEST!

This is one of our favorite books. The illustrations are beautiful. The story is great but the jokes are what we love most. We always end trying to think of our own jokes. I highly recommend this book. It’s enjoyable for children and adults alike.

Illustrated squirrel book character. The squirrel is gardening by pruning an evergreen bush into a creative shape. The gardening squirrel and its creation are illustrations found in the children's book Travels with Zozo...and the Pintxos. The story introduces the main character, Zozo the bunny, to a wide array of new foods in San Sebastian, Spain. The book is part of an adventure travel series for children, introducing kids ages 4-8 to educational and entertaining places around the world.

Outstanding travel book about Spain

There are a lot of travel books for kids, but these are truly in a category all their own because of the exceptional storytelling and beautiful illustrations. So many travel books are simply a listing of one sight after the next, but there’s no plot, no interesting characters to meet. Not with Zozo. Zozo has an adventure, albeit a baby-bunny-sized adventure, but it captures the place really well.
