Great travel book for kids
After spending time in Argentina, Chile, and several other South American countries myself, I wanted to share the experience with my grandsons. What a great read this book turned out to be! The book piqued their curiosity, which I think is exactly the point. I will buy the one about the Bolivian salt flat next and let you know my thoughts.

10/10 Wait until you see the illustrations!
Every page is a new treat. There’s a sunrise in all its glory! A frustrated, pink-cheeked bunny who steals your heart! A mountain landscape with shimmering lake in the background! We highly, highly recommend this book for preschool and grade school kids. There’s something for everyone. 10/10

Awesome From Start to Finish
The storybook cover sets the tone with bright colors, silly things happening in the background, and our favorite little bunny Zozo. The writing is easy to understand, moves right along, with not too many words per page. It ends with an upbeat, sweet message about family and fun. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

Fun and informative
We enjoyed reading this book to our four year old daughter. The pretty pictures got her attention quickly. She was excited to discover all the cute little animals on each page, and the facial emotions on Zozo are extremely well done, making it easy to talk about feelings. We look forward to seeing other destinations and journeys that are part of the Travels with Zozo series. Highly recommend!

This is the best picture book that I’ve found that takes place in Argentina. The rest of the books in the Zozo series look great too.

5 Enthusiastic Stars

This captivating book weaves together vibrant illustrations, an engaging story, and astonishing facts about how the northern lights work. The use of actual constellations and stars in the night sky is a fantastic touch. We highly recommend this book.
Interesting, educational book
My 7 yo kiddo loves to read this book to his 4 yo sister. He likes learning about something real. She loves all the illustrations of the horses. They read it almost every day.

Unique children’s book
Break dancing arctic foxes and high-stepping horses keep this book as funny as it is educational. Zozo under the Night Sky is an excellent storybook for kids to learn about the northern lights, polar landscape, and animals in Iceland. Children can learn so much while enjoying a well-written story and beautifully colored illustrations. I’ve never seen another book like it. The writing is great because it teaches in a very fun way.

Everyone Should Read – 10/10
As a parent, I appreciate the emphasis on making the world understandable. Zozo the bunny rabbit helps to foster imagination, curiosity, and awareness of the world around us. In this story about dancing horses and goofy arctic foxes, the science behind the creation of the aurora borealis is easy to understand. Highly recommended for both children and parents.

Great information, even better story
My son was studying the Northern lights in school so we bought this book because he wanted to learn more. Great choice! It has an excellent story and is a fun way to remember how the lights work. We were happy to find a book that had actual real information and a good story together in one book.

Detailed book that kids will enjoy
We are so happy with this purchase. This book goes above and beyond what I thought it was going to be. On the surface, the book is a cute story about a sweet little pet bunny. She’s on vacation in Iceland and notices the northern lights outside her window. When she goes to investigate, she meets a very nice group of horses who invite her to stay warm with them as they watch the light. Our family enjoyed the story very much, but then as we read it again and again we began to appreciate all the detailed information that each page has to offer about the stars, constellations, and animals of the north. And the explanation of the northern lights was simple, memorable, and very easy for kids (and adults ) to understand. Well done!!

We love a good dance party, and this one is educational to boot! My daughters (6.5 and 4.5) love this book. My oldest is very into learning about the world and this book provided plenty of new ideas for her. She had a million questions about the northern lights, and I appreciated the Author’s Note to help answer a lot of her questions. My youngest daughter just loves sweet little Zozo. She wants to read all of Zozo’s stories and is learning too (but mostly about which type of bunny she wants to add to our family—lol)!

Quality Travel Series
I love how the main character, Zozo, is a sweet soul who becomes part of the places she visits, getting to make memories with the local friends she meets. Often kids travel books read like a list of highlights in a country, instead of telling a story about experiencing the place. This book makes us feel like we are there. The illustrations are absolutely outstanding!

Super adorable book. I have been looking for a good book to teach the class about cave systems. It has beautiful illustrations and accurately portrays caves and the animals inside. The authors note provides excellent factual information. I would highly recommend this book for use in the classroom.
Deserves more than 5 stars
In this entertaining kids’ book, we are taken on a delightful journey as the little pet bunny finds herself in a raft full of funny jungle animals. This book has many humorous moments and fantastic illustrations on every single page.

Inspires Curiosity about New Places
Bought this book to read to my son and daughter because we are taking a trip to Belize. Has fun information about the country that is helping us understand the area and prepare us for the trip. But the story itself is really well done and the illustrations bring the country and its animals to life in a very appealing way. The book has done more than introduce us to a new place, it has made us curious. We can’t wait to get on the plane and see the place for ourselves!

Family Favorite
We read a lot of bedtime stories and this one stands out as a favorite. It’s funny when all the jungle animals plop into the raft. It’s sweet because the main character, Zozo, is so welcoming and gracious. The writing is excellent and the illustrations should win this book lots of awards. We highly, highly recommend this book.

What People Say...

A tale of surprise and emotion!
For those not sure their kids should read about a character getting accidentally taken by a stranger, let me tell you: this book handles it very responsibly. The writing makes it real but not overwhelmingly scary, adding enough humor to ease any fears, and the illustrations help tremendously to endear readers to all the rabbits caught up in this unfortunate mistake. Well worth reading!

Good message. Well written. Expertly illustrated.

We like the book very much, especially the beautiful two page illustration where readers can help search for Zozo’s family. Though the book is about the pet being accidentally taken, my kids were not scared in the least. The writing makes it make sense that it was a totally understandable mistake. Then the story ended up teaching a good lesson about staying calm and asking for help when bad things happen. We all really liked the book, the illustrations, and the overall message.

All’s Well that Ends Well

What a great story and a great lesson for teaching children about asking for help when they get separated from their families. The author injected humor and the little background characters like the swimming frogs and squirrels kept the pages feeling fun.
Heartwarming Happy Ending
I always worry about reading a story aloud to young people about a character getting taken or getting lost but the illustrations in this Zozo book help to diffuse the situation very well. I love the message of staying positive and asking for help. It’s a great book to read to children. I highly recommend it.

This book is about a pet bunny who accidently gets taken by a sweet but giant rabbit. It’s fun with lovely illustrations. There’s a search and find page where readers can help Zozo find her family in the town. I like this book a lot and recommend it.

It’s clear to see why this author is award-winning. A.J. Atlas’ books are so interesting and different from one another. Her latest book, Travels with Zozo…and the Giant Rabbit, is full of the colorful imagery that we have come to expect from the series. There are funny characters doing silly things on every page. Your kids will have so much fun turning the pages to see what comes next! The writing is excellent and it has a perfectly happy ending.
